Europe zeroPoint!'s journey in CoD4 is over

After not even 2 months, zeroPoint! is again without a Call of Duty 4 team. The players of the team decided to leave the organzisation and move to the british multigaming team The Last Resort. Reason for this move was according to the team leader the lack of support from our side, which so far consists of providing the basic stuff ( server, bncs, ventrilo ) and paying the full entry fee for an upcoming lan event in germany. The lan visit was later canceled by the team. The money was then planned to be used for the upcoming summer event Acer Challenge in Enschede. This amount of support was obviously not enough, so TLR was approached behind my back without giving the chance to re-negotiate the deal here at zpgaming.net.

To make things clear, this news is just stating the facts and has no intention to badmouth the team in any way. Considering the goal of the team to become a top team present on serveral lans, zP! with its limited resources is certainly the wrong address. So this move is understandable.

On a personal note, i knew this day would come even before i picked them up. This is just nature of the business. People warned me, but i ignored this, because of my lack of knowledge of the Call of Duty scene. Considering the amount of luck i had with the last teams, i came to the conclusion that i will never pickup a new team in any game as long as i am responsible for this site.

Nevertheless, i want to thank the team for their time and work they put into wearing the zP! tag. I wish them the best of luck in their new home.

Germany zeroPoint Gaming! adds new CoD4 team

After our last adventure in the world of Call of Duty 4 was not as successfull as hoped, we are happy to announce the addition of our new CoD4 team, which is currently playing under the name de maskin. The team consists only of german players, who knew each other for quite a while now. Although they are playing CoD4 as a team for about 2 months, the squad is very motivated and ambitious. For the moment, zP!.CoD4 will participate in important online events like the upcoming Clanbase season and maybe in the ESL Master Series, if they can manage to qualify for it. Offline events are also targeted in the future.

Here is a statement of the team leadear de Marcel "pwna" Koss about the join:
After a long time, we finally found a partner we can plan our future with. In the next months we will aim for a bootcamp and hope to be present on the one or another lan. Our goal is to work hard and establish ourself among the top 15 teams in europe.
The team consist of the following players :
  • de Marcel "pwna" Koss ( team captain )
  • de Kevin "kevin" Frühling ( team co-captain )
  • de Matthias "Rid3r" Vossbrinck ( player )
  • de Sascha "Curse" Rüschhoff ( player )
  • de Johann "jhnn" Volzke ( player )
  • de Moritz "Relikt" Mencwel ( player )
  • de Jonas "n4w" Weber ( backup )
We from zpgaming.net will support the team as best as possible and wish the team the best of luck and fun in the upcoming competitions.

Europe zeroPoint.CoD4 disbands

After not even a month, i am very disappointed and sad to announce the disband of our Call Of Duty 4 team. The start was very promising and it looked like the team was stable and motivated. But unfortunaly this didnt last long. The highly ambition to become a top team didnt match the schedule of two players. Steve and quiNN decided to step down because they couldnt afford the time to practise enough. The plan of the 3 remaining players was to recruit 2 new motivated and active players, but nkr dropped the ball and left all of a sudden. The future of denizen and Sko is open, but they want to continue to play.

However i want to thank all latest and former players for the time they put into playing for zeropoint Gaming. And I also want to thank for all users here for their support. At the moment it is undecided if we pick up another team. Considering our bad luck with our last pickups, its not very likely.

Europe zeroPoint! in action

With all our matches in Live2Win being postponed we've been having a slight lack of match practice. Tonight that was going to change as we signed up for the popular DailyCOD.com nightcup. With invite level teams such as dfiance, xcite, K1cK eSports, OMGN and of course our very own zeroPoint!, this promised to be an exciting event.

Europe zeroPoint! finalise roster

After the departure of Ben "bAc" Coppard, we have been searching for a last to fill our roster, so we can carry on as we were. As you know, we have been trialing Robin "ImpreZ" Mertz for the past couple of weeks, and things were going really well with him playing, but things started to develop. Bas "Sko" Dirks, who recently joined as our CoD4 manager, bought a new PC and has decided to commit his future to zeroPoint!

We have offered Robin "ImpreZ" Mertz to stay as our 6th if he chooses, because he's a great player, but we understand if he chooses to leave to play in a more active role. If that's the case, we wish the best of luck to him, as he is a great player, and very mature.
