The Electronic Sports League will host the European DoD classic Championship Cup. For those who dont have any clue, its a Nations Cup. The last European Championship took place two years ago and wasn quite a success. We hope to change it this time and will play with some fresh rules:
only Country's from the EU
Double-elimination or Groupstage and Single-elimination
at least 7 Players with an Steam-ID
1 AdminMap / 2x20 Min
Aequitas is not mandatory
POV-Demo is required
no Spawnrules
The Cup will start at 05.10. The Final will be played at 09.11. Looks interesting for you? So arrange a Team and participate.

only EU country? Is that a joke? If it's european championship so maybe geographic factors will determine who can participate - not the political ones?

This is the second 1.3 NC from ESL.
DoD:S NC for all european countries will come from the CB this Fall.

well you should not flame, if russia really has a 1.3 lineup until october i`m sure ESL would let them play. it only helps the community

But you should invite team USA/Canada, since 1.3 is still prety popoular there. And if will look @ CB ET Nationcups where USA participated for many seasons, ping isnt really a big deal.

i think it`s a misunderstanding, he means europe and not the european union.
edit: east cost players from the USA could play with europeans on .uk servers, but its not that cool how it sounds

#6 even if the ping isnt a prob (which i somehow doubt) the time is a big factor aswell.

#8 it is a problem offcourse, but its possible if not to cry to much, just look @ USA ET team playing @ European nation cups many times and even taking top3 placings.
And as for time zones, for Americans Euro match time is prorobly less an issue than an American match time for euros. When its evening in Eu its ~Midday+ in US, so if they are not at school or work at that time, they can easily play.

well they just have to adapt to "euro time" then. was vice versa the same, some euro players played late night in the CAL league with big ping difference. they just cant complain then

Ahah I remember the last one, it ended by 3 or 4 forfeit match including the grand final...
