*FOURTH* DoD:S Beta patch released

It looks like we are getting closer to the final and long-awaited patch for Day of Defeat: Source. Tonight Matt
"Mugsy" Bone gave us the fourth update for the currently running Beta. You can test the patch via steam and give feedback in the official forum. Here is the latest changelog:
- Updates to official maps to improve lighting and fix exploits
- Fixed 4 grenade kill achievement being awarded with less than 4 kills
- Adjusted grenade trail particle effect
- Fixed achievement particle effect
- Changes to smoke grenade particle effect to increase perf
- Increased screen fade radius of smoke grenade
- Snipers can no longer sprint while zooming their sniper rifle
- Steam community avatar image now includes friend status

valve is doing nice with this update, developers are regulary responding on the forum :)
Here is couple of changes to be included in comming updates:
3 new crosshairs
Proper left peek fix via animations

again the win sounds being removed in console is sick, in actually gonna stop playing dods and only play dodsbeta I think :>
reckon we might see the game fully patched and updated by the 3rd week on June

The reg is good, but the heavy imo seems long range not that good anymore as before which is annoying
The movement is like in the older versions :)
In general I like the game :)

i emailed a developer when they released the Beta version, so he was aware of this forum, so maybe we will get more of what we want

A bit weird solution to fix the ff problems with running through your teammates. Reminds me of the last minute panic coding they used with the ironsight/scope fov adjustment.
Say hello to shooting through friendlies if you are close to their backs. (well ofcourse this will be turned on in match play, right... right?)

Players now respawn even if they have the class menu up - changing class will respawn them instantly now

Well I did not try everything in that new update however I noticed that mediums are still too "powerfull" if I can express myself like that. I mean, to be killed by a med when he is far (far away) from you is still frustrating. I can't believe that a short gun is more precised than a long gun. They run from a long distance and shoot then be sure you will be hit. Anyway, I am still crossing my finger they fix this in the next update.

I've got three questions to ask:
1. Where are the new crosshairs as being said here?
2. How to fix purple trees?
3. Will sv_friction 4 be used on matches or is it only pub issue? (I miss friction 8) :(
